Microsoft Office 365 plans cater to educational facilities by providing Student Use Benefits if certain faculty licenses are purchased. We have put together a simple table which lists the Student Use Benefit entitlements and ratio as a guide when making your purchasing decision.
Student Use Benefit Entitlements by Qualifying Program
The following table lists the Student Use Benefits for specific products licensed through the Microsoft Office Academic licensing program.
For each qualifying product in the first column, the corresponding Student Use Benefit product is listed along with the ratio of licenses available for Students per paid Faculty / Staff license. For example, if you purchased 40 Microsoft 365 Education A3 licenses you are eligible to receive 1600 Student licenses for free.

Ordering your Student Use Benefits
The provisioning of Microsoft Student Use Benefits are not automated. Once you have purchased your Faculty / Staff licenses, you will need to ask for the appropriate Student licenses to be provisioned. Also note that you can obtain a lower Student license count then what it made available if required.
